Pralumus Bare Roots is an exclusive innovation for root dressing, designed for easy application at plantation or transplantation of naked root seedlings.

Pralumus promotes root development by the combination of two actions: maintaining good root hydration and the stimulation of the development of new roots and root hairs.

Transplantation is a delicate operation: at unearthing, transportation and transplanting, seedlings suffer severe stress. Some species are particularly sensitive to these stressful conditions. Economic losses associated with plant mortality and growth delay affect adversely both the nursery and the user.

Moisturizing balm for the roots

First function of Pralumus Bare Roots is to maintain the roots humid, as it is the desiccation of roots that causes mortality of plants. Special active ingredients of Pralumus that increase water retention act as moisturizing balm during the critical phase of transplantation: they provide the plant with increased tolerance to drought, which increases the recovery rate after transplanting.

 

Root stimulant

The organic substances contained in Pralumus Bare Roots stimulate new root growth rapidly in the soil, which allows plants extract nutrients and water more efficiently. The sooner the plant becomes established, the better its growth and disease resistance will be.

In January, Tradecorp signed a commitment letter to join the Global Compact. Thus, Tradecorp is committed to align its operations and strategy with 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

Since its launch in 2000, more than 10000 participants, including over 7000 businesses in 135 countries, have joined the Global Compact. Considering these figures, the United Nations Global Compact is nowadays the world’s largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative.

These are the 10 Global Compact principles that Tradecorp is now committed to respect and promote:

Human right
• Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights
• Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses

Labour
• Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining
• Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour
• Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour
• Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

Environment
• Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
• Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility
• Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies

Anti-Corruption
• Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery

Tradecorp is designing the actions to be carried out during 2012 in order to fulfill its commitment to the Global Compact and promote these principles within our scope of action.

This programme, designed by Tradecorp, endeavours to train collaborators in sales and to retain talent in the face of the new challenges that the company must confront.Somar is a programme that has been created by Tradecorp Brasil with the purpose of training sales staff so that they can face the challenges of growth and technological innovation within the company. It is divided into 18 modules of 20 hours with classes held every 40 to 45 days.

“The work premise originated when we realised we had to redesign the profile of our sales staff. Through a group consultation we designed a new description for the functions of our sales staff. We concentrated on the different skills and knowledge that our professionals should possess in order to adapt to the new professional profile which corresponds to the strategic reorientation and development for the future of the company”, says Luiz Schmitt, sales manager for Tradecorp Brasil.

Following a preliminary analysis, tests and individual interviews, a skills programme for the sales staff was created and now, after two and a half years, Tradecorp can count on a sales team that is appropriately trained, skilled and prepared to confront the challenges that the company will have to face as of 2015.

A new edition of the Tradecorp School, an event that gathers clients from the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and South Africa, has been celebrated in Spain. In this event, clients visit Spain to receive training on agriculture in Spain on the field and the trips are completed with visits to the factories where they can learn more about Tradecorp products and production procedures.

This year, 33 clients from Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon and four VIP clients from Morocco have participated in Tradecorp School . Participants in 2013 edition have had the opportunity of visiting and meeting Tradecorp clients in Spain, where they have shared their knowledge on how different crops are grown in Spain, such as table grapes and citrus.

The 2013 Tradecorp School included also a visit to the biggest capsicums greenhouse in Europe and a visit to Tradecorp factory in Sanchidrián (Ávila), where most of Tradecorp solid products are manufactured, such as Ultraferro and Tradecorp AZ range.

The participants were accompanied by Sameh Mostafa, Ihab Ibrahim, Mohamed Saad,  Mostafa Hanafy, Abdellatif Hassnaoui and Mohamed Kaid, members in the MENA team, and by Laura Gómez, in behalf of Corporate and Technical Marketing department of Tradecorp – International Division.

Tradecorp has renewed its corporate identity so as to evolve towards a single global and solid image to represent the company in all the markets where it operates.

This new identity gives Tradecorp a fresher and more modern image suggesting innovation and dynamism, two characteristics that have always been part of the company’s DNA since it was founded.

Thus new corporate identity includes a new simplified and more dynamic logo, which keeps the tagline “Nutri-performance”, to represent the company’s activity and to provide a link between the old and the new identity. Likewise, other materials have been renewed, such as communication materials and packaging and these will be progressively implemented.

New image for products

envaseThe new corporate identity unifies packaging where the new company symbol is always present so as to aid recognition of Tradecorp products. Furthermore, so as to facilitate product identification, the colours have been kept that identify the different ranges and the range or product symbols have been brought back on to the containers.

In with the updating of its corporate identity, Tradecorp has launched its new website which has been developed and adapted to the online world. 

The main aspects that have been incorporated are the following:

  • Adaptive design, which makes the website easier to read and easier to use as it adapts to different screen types for both pc’s and other devices
  • Structure in connection with local websites to facilitate access to specific information for the user’s market and in the user’s language (under development).
  • Powerful search engine to locate information with a single click.
  • New design and structure for the menus to facilitate the locating of information and to emphasise the most significant news items
  • Use of tags to facilitate the search for information on a specific subject.
  • RSS service for the user to be always up to date regarding Tradecorp news.
  • New multimedia possibilities for presenting information in a clearer and more explanatory way using tools such as video and animation.
